Nicholas Greene

Nick’s love for green building began at an early age constructing many outdoor forts and neighborhood clubhouses under the family deck.  Raised in Connecticut by a Mother who was a Registered Nurse, he had an early awareness of the benefits of a healthy lifestyle.  He received his education in Interior Design & Architecture from the Boston Architectural College and U.C. Berkeley Extension.  While studying in Boston, he became familiar with the Sick Building Syndrome and his passion for healthy interiors and materials had begun.

As school Chapter President of ASID, Nick introduced the ReGreen Program (a USGBC/ASID partnership) to students and initiated the first sustainable materials section of the school library.  He is a Certified Green Building Professional, Building Biology® Practitioner (a registered provider for IAQ Council), and LEED educated.  A recent graduate of the Professional Program in Sustainable Design at U.C. Berkeley, Nick was a panelist at West Coast Green for the forum “Adventures in Going Green – Product or Design, It’s About Doing It Right”.  Nick previously managed a natural and healthy home furnishings showroom in San Francisco which developed the first line of sustainable upholstered furniture.  While there he provided healthy interiors for the television remodeling show “Shades of Green” and the LEED Certified Folsom/Dory Apartments in San Francisco.  Nick enjoys educating people about the many beautiful green design choices available and is excited to be a member of Green Fusion Design Center in beautiful Marin County.
