About Forbo Marmoleum

Forbo Flooring is the world leader in linoleum and Marmoleum global 1 is a truly global collection. The extensive range of colours is inspired by the diversity of nature and cultures around the globe. Marmoleum is at the heart of Forbo's range of floor covering products. It is used in homes, offices, hospitals, schools and public buildings all over the world.

This Marmoleum range introduces three new decorative designs - Marmoleum vivace and Walton fizz & Walton wave - and continues to build on the strengths of our existing product lines Real, Fresco, Dual and Walton. Marmoleum global 1 is a major departure in its use of colour. This collection shows a series of palettes in which matching colours create a theme.

In accordance with European standards (EN548 and EN670), Marmoleum and Artoleum are manufactured on the basis of a homogeneous mixture of raw materials. This mixture is applied to the jute carrier in two layers. The advantages are:

• The first layer smooths the jute carrier and prevents the natural yarns causing irregularities in the top layer of the floor covering, thus ensuring a smooth surface.
• Thus produced, the end product is a more compact floor covering with measurably enhanced indentation resistance, and increased performance when subjected to mechanical loads (e.g. castor resistance test).
