Cork Concepts

Cork Concepts' parent company, Cork Supplies (NZ) Limited, was formed over 30 years ago by Graham and Pat Hadlee, specializing in importing cork floor tiles from Portugal. Since gaining the Orvalho agency, CSL has been able to boast of selling the best cork flooring available world wide.

Cork floor tiles have always been a niche market with a faithful clientele. With exciting and different products such as Cortiça Colored Cork, the size of the market has extended considerably, and they now export to a selection of off-shore niche markets.

Since the mid eighties CSL has also produced fabric-covered wallboards and pinboards. The fabrics used are now mainly colourfast polypropylene weaves, rather than the traditional hessian.

Cortiça tiles, from Cork Concepts, offer the ultimate combination of warmth, luxurious color and the traditional durability and acoustic qualities associated with cork.

Cork floor tiles are a natural product. The cork oak tree grows in Portugal where it is stripped every 9 years for the manufacture of wine stoppers. Cork floor tiles are made from agglomerated cork granules left from this production. Made from the outside (Bark) of the cork oak tree, grown in Portugal.

Options

There are 22 colors in the basic Cortiça colored cork range, but many more available. If you want a unique color, it can be made to match a Resene color chart.
