About NEFF Cabinetry
Cabinets - even more than carpets, insulation or wall paints
- are the greatest source of formaldehyde emissions in new homes.
These gases are produced mainly from glues and adhesives used in
particleboard and, to a lesser extent, paints, solvents and joint
compounds. NEFF, uses marine-grade plywood, over typical plywood
or particleboard, as standard in their cabinet construction. This
appreciably reduces noxious airborne emissions levels as well protection
against damage from water leaks and humidity.
Any NEFF product you purchase, will be greater than 98%
free of VOC emissions. For chemically sensitive individuals, they
provide a select line of products which are virtually (greater
than 99%) emissions free.
NEFF devotes considerable time and effort researching new and
alternative materials and processes to keep these emissions at
the lowest possible levels. It is their goal to develop cabinetry
that is VOC-emissions-free, without sacrificing the quality and
design expected of a NEFF Kitchen.
Neff advocates the use of sustainable forestry and uses suppliers
who are ISO 14001 certified.
