Alison T. Seymour, Inc.

Founded in 1949 by Mark and Alison Seymour after discovering an oddly colored and strictly utilitarian carpeting in Europe made from "sisal" a very interesting fiber.

Working closely with others involved in the burgeoning Scandinavian furniture business (and a mill called Nedcos in Holland), Mark and Alison created new weaves and colorations in sisal more suitable for the American architectural and design community and, in the process, introduced an entirely new kind of floor and wall covering to the U.S. market!

Today, Alison T. Seymour is still a family owned and operated company and continues to be an innovator in the U.S. market.
