About Royal-Pedic

The founder of Royal-Pedic, Abe Kaplan learned and mastered high end mattress making during the 1930's to the mid 1940's at the prestigious Heals of London, a 300 year old manufacturer of mattresses of England's Royal Family and other dignitaries. In 1946, Kaplan set out for America in search of a region suited for high-end, exquisite quality, handcrafted mattresses.

For the nearly four decades that Abe and his partner Steve owned Royal-Pedic they manufactured mattresses for innumerable clients, including an endless list of film celebrities, and six U.S. presidents, including John F. Kennedy, who insisted on Royal-Pedic mattresses wherever he traveled.

In 1984, Royal-Pedic was purchased by the Kelemen family, who to this day, diligently continue the tradition of high standards of hand crafted quality and use of the finest natural materials in mattress making. In addition, Royal-Pedic has expanded it's offering of mattresses to include natural latex mattresses, pillowtop mattresses, pillowtop pads, and organic cotton mattresses so customers have a variety of comfort levels and preferences to choose from.

Details

1. Luxurious German woven organic cotton ticking ventilates body heat and provides luxurious feel.
2. Chemical free, French wool layers are quilted to both sides of the mattress. The French wool provides a natural fire barrier, wicks away moisture, is dust mite resistant, and provides an even surface climate for dissipation of body heat.
3. Generous 2 ½” thick all natural Talalay latex layering provides added softness, comfort, and pressure point relief in the boxed style pillowtop portion. Latex is dust mite, and mold resistant.
4. Additional 1” thick all natural Talalay latex layering internally in the mattress provides added softness and comfort. Latex is dust mite, and mold resistant.
5. Inner hand tufting with European tufting straps the old-fashioned way to pre-compress the organic cotton padding for improved orthopedic back support and to minimize body impressions. No buttons to dig into your ribs, or pop off causing the padding to shift and lump up.
6. Generous layers of organic staple cotton padding are healthy, firm and long lasting. No polyurethane foam, so durability is greatly improved. Organic cotton is free of flame retardants, chemical sprays and fertilizers, and does not emit the petrochemical vapors contained in polyurethane foam that can adversely affect a person’s health.
7. Swiss designed, high coil count Royal-Flex® 760i Innerspring System provides excellent support and increased sensitivity to body contours.
8. T-Spring Side Supports reinforce the sides of the mattress for edge to edge sleeping comfort and support.
