About Our Premiere Mattress
Growing sensitivities to the variety and abundance of chemicals used in the manufacture of everyday items prevent more and more people from functioning in the chemical soup that surrounds us daily. Conventionally grown cotton used in most bedding relies heavily upon chemicals that leave toxins in the soil, water and air, as well as toxic residue on the cotton fibers.
In an effort to preserve our own health, the health of our families, and the environmental health of the planet, many people are choosing a simpler, more natural way of life. Our European-manufactured premiere mattress is designed for those who wish to live in a cleaner, safer environment, while enjoying a top quality, hand-made product. The materials used are the finest nature can provide - certified organic handpicked cotton, organic wool and natural rubber.
Options
The natural rubber core of these mattresses comes from a leading
Malaysian supplier of natural rubber. It is manufactured from the
sap of hevea brasiliensis tree commonly known as a rubber tree,
which grows on plantations in Southeast Asia. This unique ingredient
produces the highest quality natural rubber. Combined with the
latest vulcanization technology, the resulting product is extremely
durable and is characterized by a high degree of conformity to
shape without losing its original density.
Every one of these premiere mattresses have the following features:
- Extremely durable, flexible and resilient
- Warm in winter, cool in summer
- Resistant to moisture build-up
- Naturally antibacterial and hypoallergenic
- Mold and dust-free
- Layer of pure wool acts as a natural flame retardant;
- Removable cover with brass zipper, makes the cover and the
core easy to air-out in good weather;
- Cover is made from soft organic cotton velour and quilted
with layers of organic silk (250g/square meter) and two layers
of pure wool (200g and 400g/square meter)
- No synthetic rubber or other fillers are used - rubber plantations
help combat the greenhouse effect, an excellent environmental
choice
- No toxic substance or ozone depleting agents used in the manufacture
of this product
Three different options are available:
- Option 1 - a medium-firmness mattress made
from a core of natural rubber
- Option 2 - a firm mattress made from a core
of natural rubber
- Option 3 - A custom configured mattress made
from 3 individual sheets (plates) of natural rubber. Choose
a combination to achieve the exact firmness you desire
